Reflections on the massacre of #CHRISTCHURCH, New Zealand

Having had sometime to reflect on the New Zealand massacre; the dark irony of the fallacy of spilling innocent blood in a town named after a prophet who taught to "love your enemies and bless them that curse you", I can only see an even sadder truth...
The massacre in Christ's Church, horrible and appalling as it was, should be an eye opener for all of us; We cannot afford to live by the same bigotries and religious fanaticism -or even be fascinated by the violence of- the past centuries, with all the means of destruction at our disposal; The world had been smaller then and communities/races needed to take root on vast expanses of land and sea that needed to be populated by those who could endure and survive. Those communities/races had fought and coalesced, merged, or annihilated each other, had built and destroyed, had found faith, and had lost faith, had born philosophers and warriors, scientists and poets, prophets and madmen... until the expanse shrank to a global village in which everyone now has a good glimpse of who the others are, what the current map is, and what resources lay underneath...The time has come for us to either put aside those instincts of survival and seek to put to good use all the different qualities competition had produced in our species, or else use these technological means that had evolved much much faster than the ethos of our species to bring down the end of it all...
It is sad that there are still those who live in that distant era when communities were fighting to either take root, or go into oblivion, and that they are using the means of progress to take us all the way back . The murderer of Christ's Church wasn't merely a deluded white supremacist. Yes, he was "utterly removed from reality" , as a friend described him to me, but so are those "leaders of nations" who "cleverly" got the killer's message as it was intended, and replied in words that some other fanatic may yet interpret and execute in kind...I say both sides are removed from reality in the sense that they still believe the crusades and Holy wars are still raging on...
As for the killer's claim he was doing it for "White people"...Who are "white people"? Can we really define them anymore with all the advanced genetic tools that we have? Well, let me tell you, in some villages in Palestine you will find more Francs and Germani than you'll find in France and Germany, thanks to the conflict that had taken place in this part of the world in times past and had left its "warriors" and their genetics behind. Are these people more or less "white" now that they'd been "assimilated in a different culture? And, if "white" was based on religion, then why aren't white people worshiping Odin, Thor, and Baldr, or Zeus and Athena, instead of a God born of a Judo- Aramaic origin?
We should read more history, and read it very very carefully instead of digging up the artifacts of the past only to display them in museums..if only to understand where we come from, where we stand now, and where we are headed...This pathetic murderer was caught in a "temporal loop", the dates of which were boldly inscribed on his dark murder weapon, and his only escape was to spill the blood of "the others", or die trying...The tragic reality is that, to escape his temporal prison, he had taken all those lives to the other side not knowing a darn what it was all about..perhaps a few of them had "whiter" ancestors than his; perhaps some of his own ancestors were on the other side many decades ago that all would laugh at his foolery as they walk him to his own self-inflicted purgatory..There will be more and more like him, on both sides... on even more than two or three or four sides; this is the sad reality of our times, until we will have learned better...
